The days are so beautiful and sunny and spring-like, and out of nowhere I got this nostalgic longing for the past days of Hikago fandom, when Blind Go was a thing. Is there anyone around here who remembers that? A "guess the writer" challenge, held twice a year. The fics were always published on May 5 (Hikago day) and Sep 20 (Hikaru's birthday), and then the detective work started. I remember one round when I decided to take it seriously, and lo, I guessed everyone right. xD And then... it just died away. A couple of times I actually arranged mini-rounds on my journal, though the downside of that was that as I knew the writers, I couldn't be guessing... but it was better than nothing.

*sigh* Those were the days, my friend...

Looking at my Blind Go guesses I think I at the same time did better than I thought I would... and worse ^^;; I mean, having spotted one obvious fic for one person I kinda went and forgot about them for the rest of it. Never even considered that yeah, they might have written more than one fic. There were some fics that were causing me considerable trouble to figure out... well, this is why. Somehow this didn't come to my mind even when I was sending in my guesses - other people had written several fics, so why not them too? It'd even make perfect sense...

Oh well. This was really fun, nevertheless. ^^ and gave us some great ficcage & other stuff.

So here is usually how it goes: 1. Sign up for Blind Go 2. Realize that I actually have to WRITE something for Blind Go 3. Panic 4. ???? 5. Profit

I THINK I know who you are but must take my time to read carefully... after Big Paper is done!

as always, i admire your enthusiasm and efficiency!  ^_^  i'm still recovering from just-barely-finished-in-time-like-seriously-less-than-two-minutes-before-deadline-barely-emailed-it-in-on-time soooo.  =p  mine will def be easy to find by the embarrassing number of typos and errors.  sighs.

ahhh, blind go fics are up!! 

....i'm actually super embarrassed, i didn't even get a chance to reread my submission, so it's the one with the horrible mistakes and typos, sighs.  but i started it at about one pm today, so i guess it could be worse??

no, it can't be, but i'm sure the others are all really good!!  ^_^;;;

Blind Go Round 014 fics are up! yay! there are 19 fics (which include 3 fic series) from 12 authors! Please enjoy reading, commenting, and guessing!! The reveal will be on the 30th, so you have just over a week to try and suss out who wrote what, if you are so inclined. ^_~
