It was getting harder to catch Wilford these days. He was working as much as he had to, and would disappear as soon as he could. Of course, Host knew why - a little conversation helped with that months ago - but it meant Host had to make a great deal of effort to time his visits right. Usually, he would arrive to a locked door when he approached the dressing room Wilford used as his office, but it was unlocked. Strange.
He knocked, then entered the office. There was someone there, but there was no hearty greeting, which meant it wasn’t Wilford.
“What are you doing in here?” Host didn’t want to use his Narration to identify the stranger, but he would if there was no answer.
