Will the govt shutdown thing affect the people still waiting to hear about their case? Im completely freaking out
Not to worry! USCIS continues to operate (source) and the vast majority of DHS employees would continue to work under a government shutdown (source). There should be no worry! My guess is that it might slow down a bit, but your case isn't going anywhere.
