I really need to lose weight and get healthy, but I also am really interested in being flexible. Should I try to work out first or just do yoga and eat right? I also have roommates and they're always eating terrible so it makes it even more difficult. Any suggestions?
If you need to lose a lot of weight/fat then cardio is best for that, so include some cardio (3-5 times per week) in your exercise schedule! As for the roommates, I can relate because I am constantly around people who eat junk food. Not just snacks, but takeout food too. Its tempting but you just have to remind yourself that its not worth it. If i'm around people who are eating something I really want, I have a small piece to get rid of the craving, but most of the time I can resist. Right now there is a lot of junk food in our house (potato chips, chocolate, cookies, icecream, microwave popcorn, cake, mini chocolate cake rolls, to name a few) I think you just need to get focused and into a routine for your diet/fitness and it becomes much easier to say no.
