 the ornaments woven in his intricate tresses tinkled with every gentle step he took as he strode along the stone-carved corridor like an aimless ghost, until he came to a halt. a particular student sat in the gloom, seemingly contemplative. he knew how to attune his magical signature to others, softly reaching out like tendrils from his mind. it would be enough to alert her of his benevolent presence. in the distance, an old record player in the music room was spinning a forgotten melody from bygone days.

“Nothing quite like music to remind us there are many different manifestations of magic, hm?”

Ironically, it wasn’t EASY to sneak up on Cicely, not with her spell to aid her hearing. However, she had been too ENTHRALLED with attempting to master what was a ‘bird summoning charm’ she had heard about to even hear the largest man catch her out of the castle past hours. Jumping, the girl whirled around to where the voice came from, an INNOCENT smile playing on her lips.  ❝  I couldn’t sleep so I sort of—— came out here. Please, don’t tell anyone. ❞

Hagrid sighed and rolled his eyes a little “-if I had a Knutt for every time a student asked me that when I caught ‘em out of bounds,” he shook his head “-let’s go. I’m walkin’ you back to the dormitories so I know you’re actually gonna go back,” his voice was firm, but not mean. Simply a teacher.
