If it isn’t abundantly clear this man has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to romance or feelings. He had a few crushes when he was a younger man but his job and responsibilities kind of swallowed him and any thoughts about having a life outside of them pretty quick.

Still, it’d be a mix of words and actions. He’d pay close attention to what they like, what they care about, what they say. Remarks alluding to how highly he regards them would be common, but nothing too direct, at least on purpose. He’d try to do things for them if he can that would help or brighten their day- but no super grand gestures. It’d be subtle if only because he is a bit of weenie.

He’d be more openly and obviously affectionate after there’s an established relationship. And he might fumble or be a bit hesitant sometimes still unless he’s swept up in the moment maybe.

Someone should really fix the streetlight on this corner.

Though, honestly, Bigby supposes the whole flickering shadows thing helps with the ‘scare off trouble’ intimidation tactic. He’s picked somewhere to stand where he can get a good view of the area, but his face isn’t visible to anyone passing by; he feels a little ridiculous for it, standing here in silhouette like something out of a nightmare, but playing up the image usually stops things before they start.

God knows he’d be hopeless at any other tactics, anyway.

“How peculiar...” It was evident there was a continuous supply of other wordily strange things here, but he was not expecting this. A man was sitting on a bench and playing what appeared to be a very old fashioned Earth instrument. It was a banjo, if Spock remembered correctly. 

He approached the man and cautiously sat down the bench beside him, leaving a wide gap between them, both for his own comfort and the comfort of the other man. 

“Good day, sir.” he greeted. “May I inquire as to what it is you are playing?”
