The AU Ozpin Originally-
Had a rougher start in life, lost his eye in some shadier business trying to help a close friend. Doesn’t regret it and gives a different wildly embellished story about how he lost it each time he’s asked.
Changed Tracks, Graduated with a Masters and became a full time School teacher who Taught History and Literature.
Also adopted six kids to whom he’s a proud loving father. Catch him opening his wallet and showing you the pictures while gushing.
Had a few problems with work life balance, but was working on it.
Lived for his children, but also to help his students and youth in general.
Known for being honest (aside from the stories about his eye) trustworthy and friendly individual.
Has a close archaeologist and historian friend who owns very little self preservation when it comes to his job. Oz’s tried talking sense into him. It worked... for a short time.
Close friends with Yuan; their friendship started off as an odd little thing that grew as they helped each other out in unexpected ways for years and through many different hardships. One of the rare people he’d consider preforming violence for, alongside his children.
Still consumes too much Hot Chocolate and Baked goods he makes himself. Dentists are after him.
10 Years Later
His children have all grown and left the nest leaving him a bit lonely (though he keeps in touch). Has considered adopting again, but has held off for now.
Cut back on how much work he was doing as a teacher, and decided to write a few books. Has collected several fairy and folk tales from different places and published them together in a book alongside writing a few stories of his own and books on teaching kids.
Furthered his education and received a doctorate in folklore, though he never uses the title. Sometimes gives talks at the University.
He feels fulfilled with all he’s done so far more or less, but- despite working on that work life balance- still feels like he could be doing more.
Still tells a different story about his eye when asked.
That archaeologist friend joined the defense force at first opportunity, spurred by meeting his own counterpart. Oz worries about him still.
Still close friends with Yuan; proud of him for all he’s lived through- uses his graphic design business often because the book jackets of his own design sure were.... something.
He and Horace are Baking legends at this point and friends. Horace has even shown him how to relax a little more.... just a little though.
His Kind Grandpa vibes are at Maximum (even in his very late 40s)
