i have a similar deal and. i dunno i feel like ace isn’t quite right for me, even grey-a. not that this has to be true for anyone else. i think there’s multiple ways to have complications with sexuality is all
yeah definitely. I'm not sure if "gray-asexual" really fits with me either—for me, my conceptualization of my sexuality includes a number of dimensions. there's a dimension of what genders I'm attracted to (like, currently it's "not dudes") and a dimension of whether or not I even have any kind of attraction at all that functions on a separate axis. sometimes I'm like lol no I'm not asexual at ALL and other times I'm like ugh I'm totally ace right now. so like, I feel like they're all bundled together, so "gray-A" may be useful in describing a midpoint but it doesn't quite capture the fluidity of it either?

as far as i know, you’re in the clear! that seems to be my husband’s experience as well and he identifies as gray ace or demisexual. (and i’m sure my sexuality was influenced by my trauma, but it’s still my sexuality)
for sure for sure. I used to have a really high sex drive until several traumatic things happened, and now it's hit or miss, combined also maybe with age where I just don't care as much as I used to either.

If you feel the definition of gray ace fits you, then you can consider yourself gray ace regardless of the reasons (trauma, ect). I identify as gray-ace because I have some sex drive and sometimes attraction but usually not. Its kinda fluid.
I definitely feel that fluidity! like what I just said to iambickilometer. I just felt like an imposter for saying that I'm sometimes-asexual but not always-asexual, but now I'm seeing that you don't have to be always-asexual to be able to call yourself asexual (which is what "gray-A" seems to be saying?)

idk i sometimes have a sex drive and i still consider myself asexual; but i separate sex drive and sexuality if that makes sense ???
yeah that makes sense. it seems like they're two sliding scales for me
