Give s information on how Rigatello was when he was first created?
Shore! I don’t have enough information ( or energy, for that matter ) for something like . . . comprehensive and particularly coherent, but I can mutter out some of my thoughts.
So-- From the very start, Riga had always been a bit. . . quieter, than Gio ever was. I mentioned before that for the first-- roughly year and a half of his life he didn’t speak much, if at all- and though a big part of this was because he was very very fearful of the people he was surrounded by, I think in part. . . it just sort of took him a bit longer to get a solid grip on how he was supposed to function on a sort of physical level? I think when he did talk it sounded a little weird, a little disjointed. A lot of his actions in general were very- just sort of lacking in dexterity, lmao. Not great fine motor skills. He was p clumsy, and on some level I think that general clumsiness made him rather . . . self-conscious. Though not by design, Riga was ( and still is ) very, very, VERY anxious.
Because of how anxious he is, and bc he just- was not entirely sure what was expected of him when he wasn’t being given direct orders, didn’t know what to do with himself, he relied a lot on escapism as a sort of coping mechanism. It started with just. . . spacing out, letting his imagination run wild, and then when he started to pick up reading & writing skills he kind of fell head first into fiction books. That’s kinda. . . been his safe space ever since, tbh? He reads & writes a lot of stories.
That said though I kind of think that his creativity is something that developed v slowly over time as he started rly relying on it. I think at first he was kind of . . . v v literal and struggled with just about any sort of metaphorical manner of speaking- Gio was much the same, but I think t hat Gio took a longer while to catch on ( at least, from an outside perspective. )
Mm . . . I think he was almost as curious as Gio was, but it was very muted by his anxiety and his people-pleasing tendencies. But when he did feel safe enough to sort of explore the things around him, he did so very meticulously. Not the feral desire to inhale as much information as soon as possible like Gio, but a careful effort to understand things piece by piece, whatever he could get his hands on before he was startled off again like a wild cat, lmfao.
He spent a lot of time in his room tbh? He didn’t like talking to people. Didn’t like interacting with them. I think that it would be. . . very apparent in a lot of his attempts to interact w/ people that it was something that brought him great amounts of nervousness, and that it was something he was v much just trying to get through as quickly as possible with as little damage as possible. He really didn’t do anything that wasn’t directly ordered of him by Dottore or someone of equal higher standing above him, tbh tbh. Prolly would’ve been easy for an outsider to mistake him for. Being far less sentient, ngl.
Uh . . . his outfit was different, but I haven’t fully figured it out yet. I know that he used to keep his hair almost exclusively tied back into a braid, to keep it out of the way. He didn’t start drawing the little heart on his cheek until sometime after Gio’s creation.
waking up in the morning is ... weird
