Here's a quick bonus Kirblog for the week! I'm joined again by Liz for the first time in over a year to talk about video game stories crossing over into new mediums, like feature films! After seeing the newly-released Warcraft movie within the last week, Liz approached me with the topic idea of talking about the film itself, what worked about it, what didn't, and the changes made to it that might've been necessary or unnecessary based on the source material. You've got the perspective of a long-time WoW fan with major knowledge of Warcraft lore, along with a simple movie-goer like me...but just who are these movies intended for? Are they more for the hardcore fans and is that a smart move, or are they meant for expanding to a new audience based on the gamble of the original story's quality being able to transcend from one medium to another? Take a listen to find out our thoughts and if you saw Warcraft yourself, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
Got questions or ideas for subjects? Leave a comment here, tweet at me, shoot me a question to my ask-box on tumblr or anything you like; I'm always open to suggestions!
