What I remember from last night (in bullets)
-I went out to drink and play board games with friends.
-I made a drink of Gin (~2 shots), Midori (~2 shots), and Orange soda.
-Like really, really good.
-We finish our game and start another and I make another drink.
-This one has a bit more Gin in it.
-Halfway through the drink I vocalize just how strong I've found my very tasty drink to actually be.
-The game ends and I'm given the choice to go home or go to a "I moved out of my house and its empty" party.
-I chose to go to the party.
-My brother drove my one friend home, while I waited for him at my "other" friend's house (the one I was playing board games at).
-I put that "other" friend in charge of me for the night and told him to not let me have more than one drink per hour (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF THE NIGHT)
-It was taking my brother a while to get back to us and it felt like I was starting to sober up.
-He got to the house and them we left and while in the car I rescinded my "other" friend's duty of being my guardian for the night (because I felt fine).
-We get to the "I moved out and have no power" party.
-We have no cups for me to make a drink in.
-I take whats left of the bottle of Gin (about 1 cup), and in the dark begin to pour Midori and Orange Soda into it.
-I continue to drink it throughout the night.
-After slumping my face on the chair next to me while listening to my friend's overwhelmingly numerous conversations I fell something wrong.
- I notice the telltale signs that I'm about to be sick.
-I proceed to ask if the host's toilet still works and am happy to hear that it does.
-I'm hoisted from the floor and helped to the bathroom.
-I then close the door and use the bathroom for it's proper purpose.
-I then go back to vomiting.
-I sit there with my face over the bowl for I'm going to assume an hour.
-The host needs to use the restroom.
-At this point my brother has cleaned up our stuff so we attempt to make out way home.
-I stumble my way through the living room and out the front door with some help.
-I stumble my way down the middle of the street in the most undignified zig-zag you've ever seen.
-I make it to our truck and my brother drives me home, stopping a few times for me to get sick again.
-We get home and I'm dropped off in my room.
-I then take my trashcan and remove the bag from it and sit the can next to my bed.
-I get sick once more then fall asleep.
-I wake up at 7:40am feeling like complete shit.
-I cleaned out my trashcan.
-Then I wrote this very post.
The moral of this story isn't that you shouldn't drink. Casually drinking is fine. Its that if you ever get to the point where you put someone in charge of yourself for the night YOU SHOULD NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE THAT BACK!
