Heeeeeeeeey followers who experience blizzards and snow days. What sorts of nonperishables do you keep around the house in case you're snowed in?

So, it's a blizzard out there. I wonder whether we actually feel more secure or less, given that we now have instant access to know things like live updates for the entire Island, projections, and the regional state. There was a time that, when it snowed, you just hunkered down until it was over, and compared notes when you got to go in to work.
Had to do my mom's weekly shopping last night. The supermarket was PACKED. People buying like mad, carts overflowing. The deli line was a half-hour, there were extra displays for water gallon jugs, white bread. The chips aisle was decimated (however, just the ones on sale this week - I guess frugality trumps panic?). Soups shelves were empty, the meat cases were barren in the chicken areas. The bakery section still had all the fancy cakes, but not a single roll or loaf of bread was left. My impression was that there were a lot of people who had never actually thought about spending 24-36 hours inside their homes. Or that never cook. Or that don't keep track about just how much food they consume in 24-36 hours.
Strangely, the toilet paper section was still fully stocked. You would'a thought otherwise....
Blizzard Prepping
Finished a bottle of wine by 7PM.
Switched to beer.
Now I’m making porn.
Wait, what?
