the timer goes off and your phone starts recording, capturing the scene of you and isagi sat side-by-side on his bed, one chiikawa blind box sitting on each of your lap.
"okayy soo the options are..." you talk to the camera, holding the box up in the air, and pointing at the cute, colorful characters with your nails. beside you, isagi watched your every movement. his chest swelled with love. he really, really loved how animated you are when it came to your interests. "so friggin cute," he thinks as you babble on about your die-hearted passion for chiikawa and friends.
"i want chiikawa or hachiware like REALLY bad." you turn your head towards isagi, "what 'bout you yoi?"
"hmm.. maybe usagi? it's name rhymes with my last name."
and with that the two of you began ripping apart the cardboard hiding the secret goodie!

you nodded at his words, looking away from the box to give him a warm smile, but instead your eyes land on a duplicate of the exact same blind box in his hands.
"so you got matching couple figures for us?" you teasingly asked.
"shut up," is all you get in return.
rin watches you intently as you fiddle with the box, opening it and pulling out a cat only wearing a bumblebee antenna on it's head. basically, you got the most basic figure. meanwhile, rin who opened his blind box in silence, got the cutest mofusand kitty, one wearing a pink bunny hat and holding a carrot.

rin sighed and placed the small, cute kitty figurine in your hand.
"i'll buy a better blind box next time."

he thought your blindbox addiction was a waste of money, but sae never hesitated to spend money on your interests. your pretty smile and glowing happiness is all that mattered to him anyway.
so it's no shock that you've been spoiled by him again.
"how did you know i wanted this one?" you asked, holding up expensive custom blindboxes by a small business owner.
"i know everything," sae muttered back. he grabbed one blindbox from you and began tearing it open, curious to understand your passion. "this is basically gambling," he sighed.
as usual you ignored him, more focused on performing a good luck ritual you always did before opening a blindbox.

after many failed attempts, you were finally able to get nagi out of the house. you held his hand as you practically dragged him around the outdoor shopping mall.

you pointed at each of the little sanrio x mofusand figure hippers printed on the box, yapping away to nagi about how cute it would be to have matching hippers on the back of your phones.
"i really don't care who i get," he muttered, lazily opening his box. you shot him a dirty look before following his actions and opening your own.
"imagine you get kirimi―" too late. you got kirimi. and nagi? he got cutsie little pompompurin.
you were about to lose it, but nagi swapped his hipper with yours, sticking your ex-kirimi onto the edge of his phone like it meant nothing.

reo, who had been stalking your tiktok reposts for a while, decided to splurge on you with all the little trinkets and figures in blind boxes you've been reposting about.
"reo.. you seriously didn't have to do this," you murmured, tone laced with guilt as you unboxed another cute little toy.
"shh." he placed a finger on your lips, "don't worry about it. just―just indulge."
you nodded and pushed him a rilakkuma keychain blindbox, one that he bought a duplicate of.
"you want to match these?"
you nod.
reo carefully opened his box with perfect precision, making sure to not ruin the box because he knows you'd kill him if he did.
"you want korilakkuma, don't you?" he asks, ripping open the plastic that hid the secret keychain.
you nod and do the same, pulling out your surprise keychain.
reo got korilakkuma and you got kiiroitori. you weren't disappointed―you liked the yellow bird, finding it cute.
"agh it would've been better if you got rilakkuma. then we could've properly matched."
"reo i like the character i got though."

"ooh! let's get this one!!" you pulled chigiri to a random aisle, pointing at a sanrio version of the photo strip holders. he nodded, picking two and then paying at the cashier.
"all of these are so cute. honestly i wouldn't mind getting any," you squealed while tearing the blind bag open. secretly, you wished to get the sugarbunnies or the usahana one. those two holders were the cutest compared to the other options.
chigiri hummed in response, popping open his own blind bag. he fished through the plastic and pulled out the sugarbunnies holder you wanted. a smirk curled on his lips when he noticed your disappointment. in your hands was a pochacco holder.
"pshh, it's not the end of the world or anything," he murmured, slipping his photo strip into the sugarbunnies holder before pushing it towards you.
you blinked.
"hyoma???"
"what??? just take it."
you thought he was just gonna snatch it away when you took it, but the genuine smile on his face said otherwise. chigiri is so so sweet.
