If you're like me, you probably feel like you're unable to do enough to help, especially in your local area. You may not be able to donate, or attend local actions, or tell what's the most important to share in the veritable sea of information out there.
Well here's one of the easiest solutions I've found:
Follow the lead of your local BLM!!
You can likely google or search facebook for "BLM [your city]" and find exactly what leaders in your area are doing/focusing on and what they need in order to do so.
Then share that info with everyone you can.
This is what is meant by "amplifying black voices". It's important to not only share and repeat the information from large cities, but also what is pertinent to your area. Make sure those around you can't just shake their heads and say 'oh what a shame what's happening over there.' The struggle is everywhere and you can amplify local voices to make sure they don't get drowned out by national headlines.
Mutuals/yall in in the Phoenix area.
There's a rally today (6/3) the City Council meeting! The meeting is about the tentative annual budget, which has called for drastic decreases in budget across public departments due to covid.
