i’ve finally come up with a ✨controversial beatles song take✨. golden slumbers. good song, nice song, but as soon as paul starts belting i just skip towards the end of it for the transition to carry that weight and leave it at that. he didn’t have to belt it out (ig it does make it less boring?) but paul, buddy, if you’re gonna sing a lullaby don’t fucking yell it

(also dear prudence and blue jay way are kinda annoying and i never seek those out)

My worst beatles take is that George was maybe bi and closeted (or never realised). He just gives off those vibes?? When I read anecdotes I even get the feeling he had a tiny crush on John or Paul during the pre-Ringo era (he did follow John and Cyn around an awful lot)

wednesday: name a fic which you have posted which you think is underrated?

such a difficult thing to say cos i feel like all my fics are overrated 😂😂 overall i’m very satisfied with how well my fics are received? like i’m baffled about how well in fact? but well, if i have to put something out there, i’d say This Is Not Them is a fic i’m super proud of, and it’s also a fic that scraped off all the skin on my back and i’m still healing those wounds by not writing Angst if i can help it, so the more validation this fic gets, the happier i am. also Kneel, since it’s a medieval au smut oneshot. what more do you NEED???

(and i can’t stop saying that 5TL deserves all the love it gets, and MORE. so, yeah.)

ALL OF THEM!!! OH GOD I CAN’T CHOOSE,,, this one came to mind, i occasionally go back to it and just, smile at it dumbly. it’s by rioviolina in the Hot Frenzy:

Loved, loved, loved this. The highest accolade I can give is that when I saw this fic posted I went and made myself a mug of tea and a toasted teacake first and then sat down to enjoy it!! How English, eh? And it didn't disappoint .. the fic, that is! It was so so satisfying. What a bloody good read. Thanks. And now I'm gonna read it all over again.
