"Aren't you always the one that says it's just another day on the job?" She turns away, a small huff escaping as she continues to focus on her own paperwork. The den was quiet, just the hum of terminals and some scattered noises of the elevator going up an down--most likely to the residential floors.

It had been a whim to work out in the lobby but she should've figured that socializing would be necessary if she got spotted. Too many people knew her face nowadays and Fenrir's broadcast of her fight with the Arda Nova gave her more unwanted attention.

Sakaki had encouraged her to go out of her room for morale or whatever but if she had to smile and greet another random person on the base then she will cause a public event. Frankly speaking, maybe she should've just denied the mission but the thought of someone else dying because of it spurred her to take it.

"If you're going to stay, just sit down. I hate people hovering over me." Her voice is curt but lacks any real bite to it besides fatigue. While Lindow might be social at least he understood her more than most people.

"Huh?" Confusion evident on her face as she watches the Lindow run off towards the loading dock, already grabbing his red god arc before she can even retaliate or reply. For a moment she wonders if he was making fun of her for being on bed rest as her hand comes to rub where she felt him press a kiss to her cheek--or was he just messing around like usual?

Either way, she's rubbing away the feel of it as he jumps out of the loading bay towards the direction the kongous that had been chasing them for awhile. The heavy plated door creaks as it goes back up, sealing the inside from the battle that she can barely hear.

"Stay safe, idiot." She mutters out to no one before heading back up the stairs towards the monitoring room.

While Lindow is the last person she would ever worry about in battle, her words are still sincere despite the annoyed tone.

"You. You goddamned alcoholic." His weight almost pulls her over to fall with him but she stumbles, managing to stay on her feet as Lindow seems blissfully unaware of where they were. This satellite base had been more than happy to serve them after they had killed the pack of vajras that roamed inside their territory. It had been a quick detour but they couldn't say no to a request to a newly built base. Celebratory beer rations for all and her former captain had happily drank both their shares.

Maybe she should've just left him passed out in the cold but she still needed him for tomorrow's mission. At least that's what he said when he whined at her to help him back to his room.

Misc Sentences

His statement comes as a slight surprise to Zeta and she wonder’s why he’d bring it up.

She knows despite his laid-back attitude he was someone who was reliable, after all he was captain for so long and helped keep so many alive. A part of her didn’t want to bother him though, he had his own work and Ren to care for alongside Sakuya.

Though there was something that bothered her.
