She sips her tea quietly as she ponders her response. On the table between them had all of their current findings with the BOR Parasite, along with history, and names that belonged to people no longer walking in this world. It was always a bad habit for the two to sit around and think about the parasite that wrapped around both their still, beating hearts--but it’s a habit neither of them would ever want to break.
“...Isn’t it part of our routine every few weeks to contemplate our mortality?” She replies dryly as she places her hot cup next to his cup of coffee. She didn’t need her glasses to see whatever was written, having read them thousands of times.
“Though, specifically speaking, we got like this because we both want to still learn more. Right, Soma?” There’s a light tease in her last word, as a small and faint smile forming.
“--And that’s enough contemplation for today. We both have better things to do right now.”

A satellite base reported of some aragami amongst some nearby ruined buildings that needed exterminating. They may be small but they there was too much risk if left. The state of the buildings resulted in a fair bit of exploring.
