Thank you for the opportunity to share pieces of my weekend with you. In my introduction, you read that I am creating an arts-based drug-free neighborhood coalition for Northeast Baltimore. Using the blockflute (a.k.a. recorder) to start, I plan to reach children who don't have access to music lessons and help them discover and develop their musical talent, while being encouraged and equipped to live a drug-free lifestyle. After the 1st year, the program will begin to expand into a youth orchestra.
