Hey all! I'm looking for advice and/or feedback about some blog ideas. Posting on here because I have a bigger audience than on my other blog.

I'm thinking about changing @littlephotogannie into a "real" blog instead of just a random collection of pictures. I've wanted to start a photography business for a long time, and the blog will be the first step in that transition. There's no time like the present!

I'm trying to decide between keeping it on here or moving to self-hosted WordPress. For either base, I'm planning to use other social media to drive traffic back to the blog.

Does anyone have experience using Tumblr as a base for a business blog and getting traffic from "outside" sources?

How about using a custom domain for Tumblr?

Is there any specific content you'd want to see? (Non-photographers please weigh in here too!) Behind-the-scenes? Before and after processing? Editing workflow? Fun things to do with film cameras? Cool phone photography hacks? Just pretty pictures?
