Well here we are. I've lost 101 pounds and I feel weird. Not in the way like the time I lost 70 pounds and felt it wasn't real. No this feels very real, I know I lost 101 pounds. I guess you could say I'm emotional about it, but I can't really describe how I'm feeling in my mind. I'm proud of myself of course, I just feel weird. I told my parents about it because they knew from the beginning why I want to lose weight. To improve my quality of life, for my health. Thankfully I was never immobile but at my heaviest weight it did prevent so much in my life. From not being able to walk completely around the neighborhood, to having limited clothing options, to not being able to fasten a seatbelt in an airplane. To hardly having respect for myself. To never feeling beautiful.
I also did it for the potential future in that, one day I do want to get married and have kids, and it would be really nice to actually play with any future children I have. Go on family adventures, weekend camping trips, exploring museums, trips to the park, long aimless walks with the husband while the kids do their weird quirks in front of us and we remind them to slow down and not go too far ahead of us. Lol that sounds very far ahead to me right now considering where my life is currently at with how crazy my schedule is right now. In a way it ties into quality of life for myself. As I lost more and more weight though I started coming up with more reasons. Some of them are small like buying more clothes, some of them are random like being able to run a 5k haha. Some of them are big goals such as losing 100 pounds, or no longer having to shop in the plus size section of any stores (which I'm close I can buy shirts now outside of the plus size section and I believe I'm almost there for pants!).
I know these posts are so random because I try not to talk about it. I like to keep this private for various reasons. I guess I just don't have a lot of people I can really speak about this to, outside of my parents, without them getting uncomfortable or odd about it. I just want to be happy about it because I'm proud of myself. So here I am!
