Well this was an awkward situation.
If only she had gotten a permit for tasering people who chased her around in suspicion of being a certain individual in a certain video taken ages ago.
Unfortunately they were right and she was in danger of being mobbed by a smallish section of her supposedly core fans that she herself had wanted absolutely nothing to do with. Goddammit. Emmie looked at the older woman? Girl? And breathed in, breathed out. Prepared her words in proper order.
It all came out in a rush though. “Er, I’m kind of afraid of crowds and there is one presumably out for my blood whom are rather insistent on making me their media popularity sacrifice for youtube videos which I cannot believe that I am actually saying those words.” The last of her words were punctuated with an urgent look behind her shoulder, the girl’s hand gripping tight on a pokeball attached to her belt amidst seven.
Sure enough, tthre were snippets of words echoing down the road behind the girl- who was looking progressively paler as the words got more distinct. Under her sun-browned skin, this had a rather offsetting effect. “Please help.”
Brienne promptly chomped back on her toothbrush and opened the door wider, moving aside. “In,” she commanded. Hoooo, did she understand being chased by hordes of people wanting a popularity sacrifice. Though half the gig did come with some immediate intimidation points, which she definitely made use of. This poor girl didn’t seem to have that advantage.
Wonder what the girl had recorded that was so popular. She wasn’t the best at paying attention to stuff on the internet anymore. Damn paperwork.
The door shut with a quiet click behind the girl, and she did up all the locks again, ear to the door to listen to all the clamoring voices stomping by. Well. That was quite a crowd.
The entryway tile was cold against the bottoms of Brienne’s bare feet, and she rubbed one against the side of her leg to warm it up as she sized the girl up better. Hm.
“Kitchen’s to the left. Sit at the table and take your pack off. I’ll be there in a moment.”
.....Soooo she was a little brusque. It was nearing midnight and she had an early morning mayoral discussion to go to. What was it on again? Oh yes, the tax on pokemon-based support items. Mnnhr. Go get the toothbrush out of your mouth, Lalonde, you have a guest.
She turned and went back into the bathroom to make herself a little more presentable.
