I’m tired, y’all

Granted, I’m complaining from a place of relative privilege as I’m a white guy, and in a rural part of the country that doesn’t have to worry too much about riots and such. That said, I see all of these rich, powerful, and above all Selfish people running roughshod over everyone else, and I just feel drained. I’m registered to vote and intend to do my part come November, but it just feels like I’m under a volcano that’s overdue for an eruption. I worry that there’s gonna be a civil war and it’s gonna end in nuclear holocaust because those in power would rather die than give up their “lead,” I worry that we’re gonna remain in quarantine forever, I worry about the protestors that are fighting for change and that they’re going to be disappeared by our increasingly fascistic and totalitarian government, and this is just some of the domestic stuff I worry about. That’s not even getting into the climate crisis, the Chinese treatment of the Uighur people, the Brazilian president and his increasingly erratic behavior, and the rise of religious fundamentalism in the more vulnerable parts of the world.

I don’t expect this little tirade to do anything. This is one of the biggest echo chambers on the internet and it may just be adding to the noise, but goddammit I needed to get this out and actually verbalize it so as to maybe get some peace.

I wish I could still afford my therapy app.

I kind of need the third part of the Kynan and Cassandra story detailing the aftermath of her being kidnapped by Vecna and accidentally killed by her sister-in-law and resurrection shortly after.

I’m glad you enjoyed the first two! I was so wrapped up with saying goodbye to VM when C1 ended that I had not actually thought about that, but now you’ve said it, that is actually a really good point and I would quite like to explore that ... so I may just play around with it!

Would you mind tagging stuff with spiders. Spider-man's fine; I mean actual living, breathing spiders. Especially if you can see their faces. It genuinely bothers me. Not trying to sound rant-y, I'm just arachnophobic and I tend to tweak out when I see them. I doubt that this is what you were going for and you probably think awareness of these creatures, is vital and I can appreciate that, but in the same way some folks feel about snakes or dogs or rats.

Sorry about that.  I’ll try to tag them in the future, but I have to be honest, my memory is pretty crap so I may not remember.  That said, there’s not many posts like that running around (which just doubles my memory problems).   I’ll try, darn it!
