PUAR JUST LOOKS SO SQUISHABLE LIKE THAT IN YOUR DOODLE I WANNA CRY/pos
MY BOYSSSS
I had an idea that needed to be shown quickly. I hope you see my vision
Yamcha says, "BBQ time!" and puts on a "Chef's Kiss" apron. Whis doesn't understand the meaning of the inscription on the fabric, but if it means extra tactile contact with Yamcha, then of course the angel will definitely do it
The first time it definitely confused him. Free kisses? Out of nowhere? He's not complaining but certainly dwells on why it happened throughout the entire day. Was he just extra cute that day?
(Meanwhile Puar is getting deja vu with how Yamcha shut down temporarily)
Taking it off later, the gears finally start working again. Normally his gag aprons got exasperated groans from the gang, so to have them act as a greenlight for a certain divine being to give him what he kinda asked for...well...
Yamcha gets a little eager to see how far these gags will take him. He feels like a kid in a candy store with a fresh new pair of eyes for his terrible collection of dad jokes. He's bound to make a few new purchases that'll cause Puar whack some sense back into him later. (it never works, the man is too far gone now, he's flying close to the sun and likes the burn)
Most of the time he's just trying to see how often he can get a chuckle, a habit he picked up from training under King Kai, eating up any chance to break the aloof composure that once seemed so untouchable before, even to earn a lingering glance from Whis just trying to make sense of what ridiculous thing Yamcha's shirt says next.
(You bet there's shirt changes at random points of parties/gatherings when Yamcha can sneak off, or at least when he thinks he can.)
Lol, it's even funnier to imagine Yamcha wearing clothes with text and fonts in a different language, one that the angel doesn't recognize as legible. This is a literal language barrier, because Whis knows the gang's spoken language and speaks it because he (a polyglot) quickly learned it, but a problem arises when he sees a language no one has ever used before. And neither Whis nor Beerus can read the text on Yamcha's clothes, which he so carefully tried to attract attention to, and which now explains the meaning of the text
I'm sorry. unfortunately, my mind goes down the route of-
Beerus' infamously short patience wanes trying to figure out why this mortal clown is smiling like he's not in hakai distance over "a few lines on a t-shirt" (and likely still hasn't forgiven Yamcha for the back slap)
Hiiiii! I saw that character interaction is allowed, and if you don't mind, I've come here with my angel AU <:"D (the anatomy suffers greatly, sorry) ----
For context:
Angel weed is incredibly dangerous and toxic crap for mortals, because it was based on the ingredients of the Lavender poison from Universe 9, and enhanced for relaxation (an idea they came up with millennia/millions of years ago, depending on whether the local wolves were given the ability to live long lives, since they know Ro).
---- Here, Whis decided to treat the man to angel weed, but tried to reduce the dose of the poison so that he could still get high.
(What worries Puar more is that sometimes the strange space angel's purring level is out of control, and the vibrations penetrate deep into Yamcha's bones, and Whis doesn't realize that this leads to pain)
Luckily, Yamcha is wise (and nervous) enough to take things easy with the treats.
Unluckily, he's been like this for the past four hours. At least he ain't aching (though now Puar has a headache)
they are silly :"D
they really are🙂↕️🙂↕️
(Whis is responsible for anything Yamcha gets up to in the divine sectors/j)
(sorry, do you mind such crooked sketches? :"D) Whis: Tell me something else that is unusual on your planet
Yamcha:
(But Whis was still surprised and delighted by the creature with the contradictory name)
Also imagine that since Whis and Beerus don't know what cheese and pizza are, it means they don't know what "dried fruits" are
Yamcha offer raisins/dried apricots. The gods don't know what it is, and their literal reaction is "were you able to dry the wet fruits??"
Yamcha, ever the animated storyteller and survivalist, is more than eager to yap about preservation techniques and how certain fruit are only available in specific areas/climates or after set time and ideal season shifts
His favorite has to be dried oranges, which he absolutely shares when Whis gives him that bewildered look! He probably has half a dozen different veggies, fruit, and meats dried/drying in his desert hideout, especially after supply runs to the market. It gives him the best environment to make his limited budget last jsjs
LOL
Yamcha, showing off his machine for the first time: This little thing's engine has about ~12 horsepower!
Whis:
Beerus:
Whis: How did you manage to… fit 12 animals into your technical device? And why? But it sounds pretty intriguing.
Beerus: Do you think those 12 horses are still alive?
Yamcha: That's a unit of power! There are no real horses in there!
absolutely, Yamcha probably doesn't even miss a beat at such a jarring question from those two too 😭😭
"It might not have horses, but it certainly has dead dinosaurs in it!"
Ignoring the fact he could probably fly faster than his lil racer, Mighty Mouse, Yamcha doesn't miss the opportunity to be the car loving dude he is, getting the chance to explain some of the "mundane" aspects of his life to these higher beings.
Ends up talking long enough to put Beerus back to sleep but keeps yapping because Whis is sitting through it all, even his sidetracked thoughts from when he got too excited to remember the original topic.
He also lowkey wants to impress Whis with all his trivial knowledge, especially for such rustic contraptions that were outdated even by the modern Earth's standards.
I still absolutely love that part of the text where Whis called Yamcha by name ("Alright. Not even Bulma got hers this fast. So one of two things had to happen. Since don't feed him… I think?") (Sorry, image loading issues)
This bro thinks the angel only remembers the names of people who feed him. It's like bringing a treat to a wild crow, who in return brings you a shiny object he found😭
"I didn't feed him, but I was called by name. It's suspicious, but it looks like progress" No, Yamcha, you were called by name because you somehow attracted the angel's animation and he decided you were worth his time and curious curiosity (and a place in his memory) :D
Oh yeah no, poor guy struggles to realize that simple fact. Him and Puar probably have this conversation every other night as Yamcha tries to meditate (and Puar tries to sleep) and Yamcha concludes that "surely there's something" without realizing that something is just the angelic equivalent to affection
coughs in
Bulma may have conditioned him into thinking kindness/affection = favor later on and is kinda scared of what he's gonna be asked by someone so powerful. He knows his limits (but the fact this "moment" never comes keeps tripping him up)
