*I don’t own this picture I found this on Pinterest like I do most pictures. Today I was driving to Old Navy in hopes of finding matching pajamas for SO and I for Christmas. While driving I saw a double baby carrier on the side of the road and it freaked me out a little but I still kept driving. It was on my mind though let me tell you. As I drove more there was a car on the side of the road too… was there a connection between the baby carrier and the car? Did someone run out of gas and started walking? Where are they now? Are they hurt?! Why did they leave their baby carrier?! It was on my mind as I drove. I wanted to stop and call the police to tell them what I had seen, what was going through my mind. I ended up not calling the police though. What if the police thought that I was a threat?! What if they thought I had done something? What if I looked at the officer wrong or said something sarcastic and was now seen as a threat?! I didn’t want to die so I didn’t call anyone. I continued on my trip to old navy which ended up being for NOTHING. On my way home I ended up going the same way. The car that was on the side of the road was gone but the baby carrier was still there. I slowed down as much as I could to see if there was a baby around and there wasn’t and I continued on my journey home. Being afraid to call the police even to help is a fear that many African Americans fear on a daily basis! It’s insane. I would have never forgiven myself if there were babies that were hurt! Do I still believe in God? I never been big on religion. I never went to church a lot. Both of my parents worked a lot and were either working or too tired to go. When we did go was on Easter. I HATED going on Easter. I always felt like everyone was watching us. I’ve lost people and that’s why I have lost my faith. I’ve been in so much pain and that’s also why I have lost my faith. Losing SEB, unknown and CMH are the biggest reasons for my faith declining. If God was real why would he have me in so much pain? Does he exist and just not love me? What have I done to deserve so much pain?
