   He’s not really one to start playing the instruments in other people’s houses.  It makes him feel off, for the most part.  It’s also why he doesn’t dance, to a certain degree.  However, sometimes, he’ll find that an instrument wants him to play something.  Usually the instrument will have a request, and sometimes his fingers won’t play that chord thanks to forces beyond their control.

   But in the daycare, he’s found that a piano is always somehow waiting for him there.  A part of him wonders if it’s real, or if it shows up just for him.  Half ethereal, half corporeal.  That would explain how it could make even the most distracted calm down and listen.

   Not to mention his voice... which, for this song, is soft and smoother than his normal rough tones.  As if the music was keeping his voice steady and unbroken.

It seems Chase has dozed off again in class. He doesn’t even prop up a book this time to rest his head behind... he just flat out crosses his arms on his desk and rests his head upon it.

“Oh hey there, Syph, long time no see! I was wonderin’ when you’d turn up ‘round here again.”

“And it’s nice t’meet’cha, Pixie! You’re a good lookin’ lil’ Vulpix, huh?”

She squatted down and held a hand out to the little fox, letting her decide if she wanted petted or not.

“I’ve never seen a vulpix like that before! I always thought they were a redish brown, they come in gold too? Can I pet it? Is it soft?” The Eevee on her head pawed at the other pokemon in greeting.

Elesa nodded at the other womans words, fanning herself as she stood there listening. “Johto you say? How long have you been in Alola?” Elesa inquired, curious about what brings trainers or people to other regions. Generally it was either work or a pokemon journey but it was always interesting to her either way. 

“I’m from Unova and back home it’s winter so there would be snow and ice everywhere. That’s where I worry for the pokemon, though I guess they would adjust better than me. They are more resilient. It is a lot cooler back home than here so coming from one extreme to the other is hard on the system.” she explained, she loved and adored Alola but the heat could be a lot Even wearing the bare minimum of clothing, as in a crop top and shorts with sandals, she still felt quite warm. “It feels a lot warmer off resort to. Is that odd? Though then again many facilities there are air conditioned.” she continued, probably talking the poor womans ear off. “This is my first time off a resort here in Alola and I’ll admit I’m not sure where to go or what to do.” she explained, feeling a bit sheepish.

“Come on, Bulbasaur, please?” 

She’d decided to let the grass-type play in Cerulean City’s fountain while she stopped by the Pokemart, but now it didn’t want to leave. Elaine reached out to grab it, but Bulbasaur jumped out of reach and hopped out of the fountain, shaking itself and sending water everywhere just as a trainer with a Vulpix was walking by. 

“Bulbasaur!” Elaine whined, shielding her face with one arm. Pikachu slipped off her shoulder and clung to her backpack in an attempt to avoid getting wet.

He returned to the daycare, just like he promised, though Syphoria probably didn’t expect him to return like this, in his true form. Not that it mattered, as Koko wasn’t visiting her, he was going to visit his Bulbasaur friend. So, he waited until the Bulbasaur friend allowed to play outside before he beckoned to him.

“Hey, come here. Do you recognize me?”
