If you've ever seen Hope startled, you know how embarrassingly hilarious the event in question can be.  Not only does he typically jump out of his skin (seriously though, he gets almost a full inch off the ground), he also tends to make the most atrocious squeaking noise known to mankind (and manliness everywhere).

So naturally, when he's trying to help Lebreau out by carrying some boxes out from the store room and he heads out only to find a person standing inches away, his first reaction is to be predictably startled--the jump and yelp and all.  The box he's got in his arms nearly crashes to the floor, but somehow, he manages to keep it in his arms with a quick swear word or two.  "Christ, don't do that."

Crystal Bound

As the daughters of Etro slept, the world was succumbed by a vast overgrowth of crystalline gems. Lumina had been wandering around within the Gapra Whitewood when the element had taken over. Time after time she had been thrown into a paradox that had almost lead to her death if she hadn't been paying close attention; she was - in her own world. Every surface had reflect a saddened image of a pink haired girl, wandering around on her own in hope of finding some sort of treasure or way to fix the life she was given. Coccoon had been saved, but only until the fall of the goddess would the floating orb become a decimation. Chimes of one diamond embracing the next, it almost was like a little slice of heaven, but walking among what even Cosmos didn't have the power to prevent. It was cold, the already icy trees looked even more chilled with the crystal overgrowth. 

But alas, not all of the world had been completely covered and frozen solid; Lumina knew this for a fact because the two daughters wouldn't of sacrificed their own lives without knowing their roost, Pulse, was beneath their own feet. They wanted to save both, have the best of both worlds until a hero could salvage the timeline and end their eternal slumber before the weight of Coccoon became their demise.

A small specimen had taken a liking to the witch and had planted itself just above her choker around her neck. Not thinking much of it, she pushed forward and found a place where she could sit and rest since she had still been drained from a thousand year trek into the past. A throne made of crystal, a clear sign that Etro had still been alive in this tangent, made the girl scowl. The cold embrace of the gem on her neck, grown into its own manifestation as the seconds slipped by, making the rosette scream.
