★ Best Friends || ~Serah and Maqui~

It had been two weeks since her mother's death, and Serah was still taking the loss pretty hard. Now she only had her sister left, and Serah's new guardian was acting almost emotionless with a new alias by the name Lightning, something that made the younger Farron find a little strange to get used to. Serah however, was just purely in shock. The two of them had saw it coming, especially when her mother ended up bed-ridden with an unknown disease. They had tried everything to stop it, but in the end it had killed her.

This entire thing had driven Serah into a shocked state, leaving her with nightmares and making her think that her mother might still be in her bed trying to get better even when she was already buried under the ground. All of this was because the only person she now had left was Lightning, and the younger pink haired girl wanted to protect her older sister as much as she was going to be protected. They would have to look out for each other now, and they had to stick together.

Her friends had been really supportive, especially a familiar blond haired boy. He was probably the youngest of her friends, but she was glad that he wanted to help her out. Currently they were walking home from school, he had waited a long time for her to appear out of the gates, as she was now in the older school. A sigh escaped from her lips as she continued walking, unsure of what to do now.

Grumpy? Yuj scratches at his chest wound, his thumb stuck awkwardly through a hole in the sleeve of his shirt. He'd forgotten how to talk to Maqui in the time the blond had been gone.

A brief observation of the other's rather charming facial structure and it was confirmed they had yet to meet. His attire was unusual. The same could be noted for others native to this region but perhaps it was the fact he was less exposed, or the equipment worn around his cranium. If she was not mistaken then this young man must have possessed sufficient knowledge of mechanics, if not more.

Offering a polite nod and friendly smile, a cheerful introduction was made. "Greetings! I have traveled to New Bodhum quite frequently as of late, however I do not believe we have met. My name is Alisa; and you are?"

"This...can't be good," he grumbled under his breath. Noel pushed a hand up to his head, flicking a few stray strands of his hair away from his face. And as his eyes flitted back and forth amongst the swarms of people, all he could see were endless splotches of color -- and nothing that resembled the Moogle he had just lost in the process. He let out a perplexed sigh and suddenly felt himself being pushed over towards a display window by the bony elbows of passerby. And as he pursed his lips in distaste at the man who had pushed him, Noel was beginning to realize how much he missed the quiet of his own home. The overabundance of people was becoming less of an attractive idea to him.

"Where could that little piggy kitty have gone?" he mumbled to himself as he scanned the mounds of people around him. "Maybe those kids who were so interested in him had actually taken him without me looking." And that was sure to displease someone like Serah, who was so attached to the little guy.

Finding an approachable person amongst the crowd -- some of whom he knew, and others who he didn't -- he decided to tap the person's shoulder and made sure to greet them with a courteous smile; even he might have looked rather anachronistic in such tribal garb. "Hey," he greeted, "You...wouldn't have happened to have seen a little bobble-monster around would you? Completely harmless? Has a bobble on his head? A big red nose? Kind of...dumb-looking...?" He acted out the curious little bobble that would've adorned the moogle's head, awaiting an answer.
