Feelin’ like a #fangirl? Damn right. Every time I get to chat with this #BlondeVenus, #DebbieHarry, how can I not? She demonstrated her 🌟 power, too, with her shout-out to @MichaelSchmidtStudios, her longtime friend + #designer of many a #legendarylook—including the dress he fringed with 3,000 razor blades (each sanded down individually). Photo of the 2+dress on page 284 of her memoir #FaceIt, the raison d’être for last night’s @LiveTalksLA with Debbie, her #Blondie cofounder #ChrisStein + longtime pal/collaborator, creative director @RobRothNYC (who did an amazing job designing the book). #Lastnight she shared the first time she met “Schmitty," in the late 1970s in #KansasCity (this + more tales about their #friendship in the book). I was so thrilled when a bunch of fans lined up after the talk to have Michael sign his page in their copy of the book. So many tales during the #backstage reunion, post talk, too, including @Maripolarama, who was beyond thrilled to find her portrait of D in the book’s #fanart section.
