I finished reading Blood Chains by @kindafooey this week. It is by far the best Gravity Falls fanwork I've ever seen and possibly one of the best fics I've ever read. Heck, it could even beat a lot of the books out there with its themes of unconventional pursuits of knowledge and expression as well as finding freedom in chaos. The characters are written in a way that feels close to canon with a natural progression due to the passage of time since the ending of the show. It's a story that is willing to show the darker sides of a relationship and how "friendship," "love," and "hate" can all be circumstantial and at times interchangeable. People change and adapt. There aren't "chances," but instead how you handle the situations in front of you. "Trust" may be different than "dependability," but I trust that this story has left an impact on me from reading it and it will depend on my path forward how that is shown. Thank you, Fooeyburr.
