Blood and Fire
Kariel, upon landing back in Nanrithea, had not been expecting an all out battle to be occuring. She knew that she had been gone for a while, but she didn’t expect to have come back to a war, and she could confidently call it a war based on the condition and packing of the barren ground beneath her feet and the thick scent of dirt and iron in the air. While she had expected to stow her weapons and sling her shield across her back upon arrival she quickly found herself amidst a horde of shocked soldiers, and, grasping her sword and readying her shield, she prepared for an onslaught.
At the same time, her eyes scoured the battlefield, relieved to see the castle still standing, and hoping that a certain somebody was at the edges of the current encounter rather than at the center of it. But she knew Anna, and Anna would want for a fight just as much as she would, so she kept an eye out as she fought against the soldiers that dared to come at her. @bloodandmistletoe
