@bloodborneties is part of a peace treaty now! Whoops...
Ah, another day, another set of diplomatic issues to tend to. Granted, if he just avoided humans from the very beginning, he’d probably never have these problems. But he can’t change the past. The gods know if he could, he’d throw away his life for any of his children’s.
Today brings a particularly troublesome coastal neighbor’s sovereign with layers upon layers of pleasant deals for his lands -- odd for them, with their insistence on owning the entire ocean.-- with a gift to prove his acceptance. No doubt that... something cares deeply for this fish-person -- something that scares his seaside neighbor far more than a literal king of demons.
After quite some time pretending to ignore his fellow ruler in favor of the sparkling crimson fish-man, Corvus lifts a finger to shut up the rambling human. “I pity you... So I suppose I can accept this contract.” The demon’s lips curl into a sinister smirk as he taps a claw on the throne’s armrest.
“Do remember that if you break the terms of it, I’ll collect compensation.~ Not from your lands, but from you personally.” With a jerk of his head, Corvus’ servants come to escort the visitor out of his castle, although some lift the far too small tank and look to their king for instruction.
“...According to my new contract, I can’t release you. A shame, but maybe you’ll come to like this castle. ...Do you want to be put in the garden pond?” For the first time in... the three hours spent by that unruly guest, the demon king addresses his new... trophy? “It’s fairly large and we have a few fish in there. ...None that you’d be familiar with, sadly.”
