Please welcome this sweet little angel 🥰 We have named him Fig "Figgy" Newton! He is a 13 yr old Bichon. He was brought in by his family to their veterinarian. He came in to be treated for pancreatitis his blood pressure was so his high it was making him sick. Figgy was admitted. He was transferred to Associated Veterinarian Specialist in Bridgeton, MO. where they stablized him, took care of his every need and treated him like family. His family would not return their calls, provide payment, or respond. They had chosen to abandoned him when he needed them most. The clinic reached out for help in finding him a home they did not want to turn him over to animal control. He is stabilized but has had such an ordeal and is continuing to heal. WWSDS was tagged in his post. Who could resist this innocent little face. Figgy is now home at the sanctuary and resting. He does have blood pressure medication he will need to continue to be on. He is underweight and so very timid. He flinches at touch and runs away. His abandonement is not the saddest part of his story. We believe he has an abusive past and it shows. Figgy is just a tiny sweet peanut who deserved so much more. He will learn that touch does not hurt and that some people do not abandon. Our promise to him is that he will never be alone again, always have love and care. Welcome to the family sweet, little lambchop. We are so happy you are here! Thank you to Associated Veterinary Specialist for showing that humans can be kind. They went above and beyond to take care of this little boy. We are so thankful for their kindness to him and us! 💜🐶💜 Please help with Figgy's medical care Paypal.me/whisperingwillowssds #bichon #bloodpressureissues #pancreatitis #abandoned #dogs (at Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary, Inc.) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0EvOzDpQo_/?igshid=ew2cwqw9d0kk
