i DEADASS think iseult was referring to past lives with aeduan bc like, the way she worded it. “She wondered how many times her and the Bloodwitch named Aeduan raced together like this. Through hell-fire and beyond.”
the only times her and aeduan ran away from danger together were in the Amonra falls bc the baedyeds and the red sails were hunting iseult. THAT I CAN REMEMBER that was the only time they raced TOGETHER. i would say when they were fighting the cleaved as well but that was more aeduan protecting iseult and shoving her into a pantry and leaving.
NOW i lowkey think that she’s referring to past lives bc she’s either:
A. a paladin (i am pretty sure aeduan’s a paladin but not 100%, and she could be maybe!)
b. she simply believes in reincarnation and that they would continue to find each other.
maybe i am ready WAYYYY into it but i love the thought of iseult and aeduan finding each other again and again
