My type is also Ryan Murphy’s type 🙏
I'm so excited bc I just got out all my sweaters and also I realised I'm a sweater addict and probably need some kind of help
I'm not one to make unwanted comments on people's art or send them stupid asks about this shit but sometimes I really do see some amazing art in whatever technical sense and I'm like "Wow I'd love to engage with this if you actually drew the fat character fat"
I'm still picking apart my thoughts on the big scene with Jax and Ribbit but I'm currently of the mind that while Ribbit was being genuinely kind and trying her best to be supportive and a good friend, I don't think her giving Jax that bow was the right thing to do.
Jax didn't come out to her. Jax implied something like a coming out to his mom (and to make it clear yes Jax is transfem), and Ribbit presumably already had suspicions because she's also (most likely) queer since she uses she/they and the two of them were so close.
But looking at a deeply closeted trans person whose only experience coming out resulted in something deeply traumatic and horrible and deciding to tell them "I know what you are" is not really the best choice.
I know Ribbit meant well, I don't think she's "a bad person" because she did this, but Jax wasn't ready to come out to her. That's why the story he told was kept so vague about what was said to his mom. Maybe this would work for someone else, to be told "I see you, and I care about you anyway", but for Jax it very obviously ended up feeling like "I see you, and that gives me power over you because if I can find out, Anyone can find out. You aren't hiding it well enough. You're not subtle."
And that's terrifying! That's a horrifying thing, to have someone know such a deeply repressed secret about you that you didn't tell them yourself.
Jax's actions afterwards were cruel, he got too far into his own head and took it out on Ribbit (and Gangle, and Everyone). Those actions are not okay. Obviously. But to Jax it was an act of self-preservation because he was not in a place to be exposed in the way that he felt when Ribbit said "Your secret is safe with me".
Because in his mind, she shouldn't have known that secret at all.
My first pass at a little sprite edit for my lambsona! Fae might not stay exactly like this (especially since I'm still fairly early in the game), but I'm a big fan of the look so far!
Did some edits to the Shiningberry Cookie concept art that was posted on twitter because I wanted to make her skintone closer to Strawberry's original skintone, and I think she looks so cute!
I love the design so much, I just wish they'd kept her dough darker :(
Comparison to original below the cut!
Okay as someone who's been a fairly casual fan of TADC (has watched all the episodes but doesn't follow social media posts and didn't watch episode trailers), did we learn about Scratch being the dog before this episode? I've seen a couple reactors mention Scratch almost right away when seeing the dog in Kinger's flashback and I wonder if I'm just forgetting something or if this was teased somewhere else and I missed it? I know Kinger mentioned Scratch at the end of the beach episode and said he was the first abstraction but as far as I remember that's the only time he was mentioned?
I just don't know how people put the pieces together that the dog is Scratch based on what I've seen in the episodes themselves lol
