Team ORCD: an ambitious, obscure Huntsman project. Headed and managed by Viola Marigold, ORCD was the first team formed under the International Persons and Relations Project, or the IPRI Project. The main purpose of the program was to take Huntsmen from all over Remnant and form a working team to better improve ties between countries. While Huntsmen may choose to affiliate with whom they please, there was a desire to show a group could work with the modus operandi for all persons. The secondary purpose was to give aspiring Huntsmen and Huntresses a second chance at their choice in profession: the one offs, those troublesome misfits, those who maybe were a bit too late, all were welcome.
Of course, such a proposal needed support. One woman couldn't quite do it alone, despite her many resources. Ms. Marigold took to appealing to the councils with the proposal. Many weren't entirely interested as the Academies worked as intended. A couple weren't entirely against the idea, but wanted to see results of a trial run first. Ms. Marigold had little choice but agreed to working on essentially a beta test of people. While the project was not widely advertised, the information of it's existence was left with the right people who could pass it on quietly.
Months passed before a full team of four was formed, with one 'representative' from the four main kingdoms. While half of them were related to Ms. Marigold in some way, it was still a full team of various skill sets and education:
Olivine Snapdragon – a graduated Huntress from Atlas an Atlas Academy. Her rushed education left her in a bit of a unique situation. Without a team and unsure of where to go next in life, she applied for the project with the caveat she could educate the last found member. Coupled with the fact her family could help sponsor the team's Dust needs with Dragon Trove Dust and keep their obscure status intact, she was chosen to lead with her skill and experience.
Russet Marigold – a perky Huntress with an affinity for the people. Originally from Vale, she moved with her mother from there to the kingdom of Vacuo. While her mother worked in clinics, Russet moved onto Shade Academy, taking a different approach to help those who could not. When the time came to help her aunt out, Russet left her original team to join ORCD. Her family ties left in Vale would be an asset to keeping the team maintained.
Chroma Iolanthe – a second year Huntress with a poor reputation, even by Vacuo standards. Attending Shade Academy was a rough time for Chroma and those she was working with. Eventually she was put under special education due to her lackluster interpersonal skills, but when the opportunity came with ORCD, she was the first to jump on it. The expediency may have been helped since Ms. Marigold was her legal guardian at the time, but Chroma was nonetheless prepared for this new responsibility and was not going to let the second chance slip by.
Delaney Hemlock – the poor Mistral man with an open criminal past. Delaney had no formal training prior to joining, but was offered it when he was accepted. His black market jobs of the past may have forced him to move to Atlas for his family's sake, but his sponsor was able to vouch for his ability. Luckily Delaney's skills in such circles would work well with the team in a much more legal setting. He could support his family from afar, with people he could trust.
Once the four were together, meeting in Vacuo for the first time, the endeavour was renamed the ORCD project. Their first task was learning how to work together, how each of them flowed with another and learning their flaws. It would be a trial by fire the first few months before the Vytal Festival was on the horizon. Of course due to the nature of the team, they couldn't truly participate, but what better way to prove the team worked than with the biggest coming together event in the world?
ORCD had a lot to prove and no idea as to the amount of time to prove it.
