This tree was REMINISCENT of the Sacred Tree that she had once pinned her beloved to, but OTHERWISE Kikyo could draw no parallels between this place and the one she’d COME from. She didn’t know the reason for her coming, either. All she KNEW was that the spiritual energy that had first caught her attention was much STRONGER now; it had been strong even in another world, and in its own it was IMMEASURABLE. It seemed to emanate from the tree in waves, and the priestess felt as though she might DROWN in them -- but she didn’t mind, because the sensation was warm and healing.
Kikyo approached the tree almost with a certain REVERENCE in her steps; she wasn’t one to bow easily, but it was clear that this entity deserved that HONOR. Its enormous power made her wonder if it was actually the manifestation of a GOD, or at least blessed by one. More than that, she wondered why it had CALLED to her -- because she was certain it had. The priestess sat down with her back LEANING against the trunk and her hands pressed onto the bark behind her, and CLOSED her eyes. There was no one she could speak to in the vicinity, but perhaps the TREE itself -- or the god that inhabited it, if there was one -- would deign her WORTHY of an answer. In deep concentration, Kikyo listened to the leaves RUSTLING in the breeze, her lilac aura mingling with the tree’s GOLDEN.
