hannah leaned against the kitchen counter and looked over at the other with her arms crossed over her chest, "so, are we going to talk about last night or are we going to keep avoiding each other?" they'd both said things they didn't mean or at least hannah did. in the heat of the moment, means things spewed from her lips in attempt to hurt them but...she wanted to talk things out and she didn't want to risk losing them, "because i, personally, would love to move past this..."

As soon as Rocco saw that blonde head coming in his direction he perked up from his spot on the picnic table nearest the swing set. The way things had been left between them had him guilt ridden. Everything Madison had said to him meant the world. Knowing she felt even a sliver for him what he did for her put him on cloud nine while also simultaneously scaring the shit out of him. It wasn't just his fear of emotions toward someone nor his walled away vulnerability possibly crumbling down, Rocco's life had no meaning and was directionless. There was nothing to offer a girl like Madison and part of what gnawed at him was that she would figure that out and get this out of her system and be gone. And he'd be left standing there holding his beating heart.

"Hey," Rocco greeted, smile hinting, "thanks for coming." The spot next to him was gently knocked on with his knuckles. "You think we could try again at that conversation? I haven't been able to stop thinking about you and I shouldn't have let you walk away."
