His head turned towards the knocking. Stratt was at the door looking impatiently at him (or was that just how she looked at him in general?). Grace stood to his feet, still holding his noodles. "Okay I'll-" He turned towards his companion with a shrug, he would take his noodles with him. Walking towards the door, he pushed it open.
"Everything okay? We're leaving now?" He hadn't expected her for a couple hours, at least.

"...cooking is a skill. Requires work and consistency before you get any good." Sleip grew up cooking. Granted between the two of them, Grace was a more successful...everything. Saving the world kind of successful. Sleipnir was good at throwing his weight around.
Sleipnir pulled a face at the slurp. "Food eaten is not food wasted. And it's stuff like that we should be keeping." He gestured to the noodles in the cup. "What do you like?" He asked, curious of the others palette. "My grandmother made a rabbit stew for me growing up...it was the best." And despite his efforts he could not replicate her work.
"I don't have the patience for it, really." He shrugged. It wasn't anything he was too heartbroken over.
"Yeah, but what other food is ready in two minutes flat?" He gestured at the cup with his fork again. Taking another bite into his mouth, he hummed contemplatively at his companion's question. "I don't think I've ever had rabbit before - they're too cute, I'm not sure I'd be able to eat it knowing it was a fluffy lil guy." He shrugged for a moment. "I like pizza." He surmised lamely. Ryland Grace didn't exactly have great food memories as a kid. He was thrown around foster homes a lot, a hot meal with flavour was a welcome treat. It was probably the reason for his lack of homemaking skills - but he wasn't about to dwell on that - not when he had Earth-saving-science to do.

"No time for questions! Time for moving!"
That was all the answer he was going to get, it seemed, until they reached their destination. Which thankfully, wasn't long. And that only made the Eridian's impatience more confusing. But suddenly, Rocky came to a stop, bouncing up and down in delight.
He chittered and crooned, waving one of his arms delightedly at four other Eridians in xenonite suits that stood before them. The ones that had apparently been waiting for their arrival.
"Grace meet Rocky siblings!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" He hastened as much as he could in this place with a gravity his body was still adjusting to. He wasn't exactly the peak of physical fitness when he had left Earth, but he was certain he wasn't that unfit.
In the near distance he saw a few more Eridians - he had met a few in his adjustment to Erid but he had a feeling these may have been quite special owing to his best friend's enthusiasm.
"Your- your siblings!" Ryland's smile was big, grinning in almost disbelief as he finally met the Eridians Rocky had spoken about the most barring his Adrian. "Oh my gosh, it is so great to meet you guys at last!" He knelt down so he could be at all of their levels. "I've heard so much about all of you - this guy just didn't shut up ever." He jested. "I'm Grace!"
small figure turned around, bags in hand. yes, he was lucky, her train wasn't here yet. lily was a very busy woman. filming, award shows, new musicals to do. he was lucky indeed that she decided she needed a week at her fathers country cottage. yet the week was over and she couldn't watch him fawn over their friend anymore. not when her heart was breaking every second they were together. " what .ᐣ . . . what about athena .ᐣ i thought you two were . . "
"Thena?" Tristan chuckled. "God, no - we're good friends. Really good friends. But she's like a little sister to me, nothing else. She's happily married to a lovely woman. We got closer the past couple of years when her poor dad got sick - my studio is just down the road from him so I popped in to make sure he was doing alright." Tristan dared to take a step closer towards Lily, placing his hands on her arms as he looked into her eyes properly.
"I'd be a fool if I didn't tell you, Lil. I reckon I've been in love with you since we were kids - and I didn't want you to leave without letting you know."
Logically, he could understand why she didn't automatically believe him. Emotionally however, he couldn't say that it didn't sting a little. He knew better than anyone how well his ex could lie, and he had to keep running that thought through his head to at least try and remain composed. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone and pulled up his texts with his ex, handing the phone over to her. "You can believe them. Or you can talk to any other woman I've spoken to since we've broken up. Including woman that she knows I was only ever friends with."
Gabriel didn't seem like the type of guy to hurt her, but they hadn't been dating all that long. She was so cautious when it came to her heart, she had hardly been on that many dates but he had won her over. Pinar's gaze landed onto his phone screen, lips pouted. "Then why did she say you were dating?" She wasn't ready to fully believe him, but she wasn't in disbelief either.
"Grace move faster!" Rocky chimed, stomping one of his legs in impatience. The beach sand and pebbles gave way to the xenonite-clad appendage, leaving a furrow in the ground. "Why so slow, question?"
Part of it is teasing, yes. But most of it comes from his sheer excitement.
His best friend is about to meet the most important Eridians in his life, save for his beloved Adrian.
Grace and Rocky!
"You need to consider the fact I only have two appendages for walking and you have five. That puts you at real biological advantage, bud." Grace cantered about a foot behind Rocky who was scuttling even hastier than usual.
"Who am I meeting, Rock?" Once he had gotten somewhat adjusted to being on a solid planet again, Rocky had wasted no time in introducing him to everybody he knew. It was a little overwhelming, but an honour all the same. Everyone had greeted him with warmth and curiosity - he couldn't help but think how much more pleasant the Eridians were to him than perhaps Earthlings would be to a potential alien encounter.

“We could always do that,” Meredith grinned subtly, shoulders shrugging nonchalantly as she played along with the idea of them renewing their vows. Rounding Peter's desk, she perched herself on the edge with one long, slender leg crossed perfectly over the other.
“Or we could just skip straight to the honeymoon part instead. Something tells me it might just be the perfect inspiration you need to pull yourself out of this little rut you’ve been in lately.”
With a sigh, he allowed himself to detach himself from his work as he took off his glasses and placed them on his table. He watched his beautiful wife sitting at the edge of his desk, and he reached to place his arm over her legs, resting his hand on her waist.
He looked up at her lovingly with a contented smile. "You spoil me, darling. How are you still with a sad-sack like me?" He chuckled in a self-deprecating manner. And it was true. He often thought it. Meredith was this gorgeous woman with her own company. Him? A washed up writer trying to string together two sentences. It was a wonder she had put up with him for so long.

Liam felt the dread on his stomach the second Abi pulled away. He didn't push it, he wanted to respect her wishes. He offered a sad but loving smile. "And I'll always love you" he assured her. "There will never be anyone else for me" he didn't expect her to say the same and he knew he might sound so dramatic, but it was what he felt.
"Just promise me... if you change your mind, or if you need anything... whatever it is, just... just call me, yeah?" He brushed her cheek in a loving manner. "Whatever, whenever... I am here" he promised.
Abi choked back another sob with a tearful smile. It was all a mess, wasn't it? But hearing him say he loved her too was a slither of light in a dull dark room she found herself in.
"I don't..." She sniffled. "God, I don't know if this changes anything. I-" She cut herself off, breathing out deeply to try and steady herself. "The wedding's all planned, people are coming from overseas..." She bit her bottom lip. "I don't know if I can do it anymore. That's crazy, right?"
I suppose this would class as attending to the needs of my biggest star.

Blake is so happy that Maren is the one that her fucker of a boyfriend decided to cheat with. because honestly, not everyone would be ready to do all of this. Some would actually defend the guy instead of standing up for themselves, and so Blake is so happy that at least something good happened out of all of this. "You are so evil, I love it so much," Blake laughs, leaning closer to peer into the screen as Maren shows her. "It is perfect. god, do you think he will frantically call you or me first?" She runs her fingers through her own hair, smoothing them down. Honestly, she doesn't really care at this point, but it is fun, playing games with someone who did her wrong. "What should be our cover story? How did we meet? "We need to have one… or maybe just keep him guessing," she laughs. "Let me follow you already then," Blake says, taking out her own phone and clicking a few times.
Maren chuckles, nose scrunching as she laughs. "Why, thank you." Blake was cool. She was wondering whether she would be bitter or resentful that her boyfriend was also dating her, but it sounded like they were both just after his downfall. "My bets are on you - you said you were dating him for longer, right? Unless, he just replies to the story? Honestly don't know what he was thinking, and I don't know what he'll think now. It'll be fun." She had a mischievous glint in her eye as she hummed. "Maybe like a friend or a friend or something. It makes sense to be in each other's circles - we have mutuals." She gestured to her phone where they indeed had a few friends in common - nobody close but acquaintances enough. "Imagine it gets to a point where he's expecting to come to one of our apartments, but the other's already there." She let out a loud loud, clapping her hands and revelling in the chaos.
