At work yesterday a mom and her daughter were looking at the Christmas trees a local club is auctioning off and one of the club members goes "Ohhh remember to put your bids in!"

The woman awkwardly laughed and said their family is Jewish and the club member said something like "Oh these aren't religious trees" (????)

The woman's smile dropped and she said "That's nice for the atheist trees, we're still Jewish though so no thanks"

People are saying that Emerie appeared in the Cassian chapter and everyone shipped them both but he stayed with Nestha, so probably SJM wanted to do the same thing with Azriel, but I don't really see it that way. Sometimes I think I'm kidding myself as I elucidate because so many people are saying it won't happen that I get discouraged

Okay so this argument doesn't make sense at all.

Do Emerie and Cassian have a ship name? How many fanfics are on AO3 with them? Where are the headcanons? The fan art? No? Nothing??? Hmmmm...

Anyone who shipped Cassian and Emerie just didn't like Nesta. It was an alternative ship, but literally no one ever thought it would happen in canon. That's a huge difference between Cassian/Emerie and nessian or gwynriel. Nessian was an established ship since acomaf. We all knew it was happening. Gwynriel is a huge new major ship and people who see it are fairly confident in it happening. People who used to ship e*riel have jumped ship. Sucks for some people, but it's true.

Also, what "romantic" hints did Cassian and Emerie have? There is no comparing gwynriel and... cassmerie?? Emssian? Who the fuck knows, it didn't exist in any serious capacity.

And also, just because people ship something doesn't mean we think it's canon, or going to be. What is with this obsession with canon MY GOD.

A young woman flying down the stairs of the Dupain-Cheng household early on a school day was not an unusual event, all things considered. Her mother grabbing her as she emerged into the main floor, however, was.

"Shhhhh!" Sabine hissed, pulling an uncomprehending Marinette aside and putting a hand over her mouth. "Be still. Please."

Marinette's eyes lit up with alarm as she watched her mother's odd behavior. "Mama?" she whispered, urgently. "What is going on?"

"I'm not sure," declared Sabine. "Something has happened to your father. I almost think that he's been Akumatized again... except that he's not acting like it. You know how it was that day, remember? All of that stomping around and the little speeches and fighting that poor Chat boy."

"Oh... I remember," shuddered Marinette. "I was right there in the middle of things that day. What is he doing now?"

"Be very, very quiet. I don't think he's dangerous... but I can't be sure," Sabine warned her. "Go look in the living room."

Marinette crept out of the kitchen, trying not to make a sound... then clapped both of her hands over her mouth after about ten steps.

Her father was purple.

Her father was floating about half a meter above the carpet, drifting aimlessly around the room.

Scrambling back to the kitchen, Marinette was as pale as her mother had ever seen her. "What in the world happened to him?" she gasped.

"I haven't the slightest idea," murmured Sabine. "He was fine when he came to bed last night. He got up around four for the usual bakery routine, and I think I heard him rustling around for something to eat in the refrigerator..."

Marinette turned paler; any more so, and she might have turned translucent.

Slowly, trying not to draw attention to herself, she walked over to the fridge and opened the door.

Just yesterday, she thought, I made up a fresh batch of my transformation macarons for Tikki. The old ones were getting kind of crumbly and making my purse messy, and Master Fu never told me how long their magic would remain potent...

...and now two of them are missing.

They're not SUPPOSED to have an effect on humans... I don't think... but maybe I got one of the recipes wrong? Or eating two at once caused an unexpected interaction?
