Okay it's hard to send asks about blorbo thoughts since I live with you and we talk about stuff a lot but like okay so. Pete Lattimer's tiddies.

I was gonna do a scenario or something but actually no, just gonna leave it at that.

Well when this is what you get when you say that

I mean... how can I not? I love Pete anyway (I am a sucker for a labrador retriever of a man who is also kinda dumb but incredibly kind and compassionate and also goofy...which is like 5/8 of my blorbos (the rest are crabby assholes who are secretly soft, robotic dudes... and ethereal badasses)...BUT THEM TIDDY Like. This man could give Aether and Omega Ghouls a run for their money with tits. His shirts are begging to be put out of their misery. The man puts his hands on his hips a LOT and I stg if he flexed he could be an assassin with just a button. He'd take me out, no problem. Of course I'd be taken out by his tits before he flexed, to be fair. Like this is what was considered hot in 2009 or whenever this was and I absolutely MISS that. No waxing (he has chest hair thank god), and no abs to speak of, but look at those hip nibblies. Look at that tit definition. This is a man you want to motorboat. Pete's tiddies would fix me. (I also love most of the characters on this show they're entertaining but also fun. What can I say? Warehouse's first couple of seasons really nailed the kind of weird funky sci-fi I like.)

here's the thing, i think this could go either way. like, in my heart of hearts, i truly believe those boys love missionary or something equally as intimate and vulnerable cause ryan strikes me as someone who likes to care for someone else and blue strikes me as someone who likes to allow that care (noticable and important distinction between allowing someone to care for you and needing to be cared for!!). so i think missionary would allow ryan to get what he needs out of it. HAVING SAID THAT, when ryan's feeling mean and possessive, he probably pisses on him and in his mouth and in his ass, claiming every part of him. it's not something they do often, like it only happens once or twice since ryan prefers bruises when he wants to mark him up and show ownership of him, but! yeah! it has been known to happen!

Gonna pull a little sneaky on you and ask about Elissa! I'm obsessed with the idea of a Cousland getting with Nathaniel and the potential for angst there, and I've been meaning to read your fckedupshipsweek fic (and will! as soon as possible)

In the same spirit as your ask, I'll inquire about Elissa's relationship to Fergus, and if they were able to reconnect after the events of Origins. I was always a little let down that we don't get a good reunion scene between him and Warden Cousland, or if we do, that I missed it!

Ahhhh I'm so excited to answer this! I'm actually revamping the first couple chapters of that fic since when I wrote them I had no idea what it was gonna become -- I'll probably start putting it on AO3 this week.

At the time that Origins started, Elissa and Fergus had a really close relationship that was on the verge of getting a tiny bit complicated by the talk outside of Highever that Elissa was likely to become Tyrna over Fergus. Unless I'm missing something (very possible), there isn't actually a reason given for this -- we don't actually even know if it's true -- so I headcanon that the gossip among the Ferelden nobility is that it's because Fergus married the daughter of an Antivan merchant. Juicy!

Whatever tension this might have created between them is obliterated by Fergus's presumed death at the battle of Ostagar; Elissa initially wants to stay and try to find him (or at least find his body) and has to be told as gently as possible by Alistair and Morrigan that it's too dangerous and that they have to leave.

She definitely thinks he's dead for the rest of Origins -- like, does not even entertain the possibility that he might be alive, it's too painful -- and they DO reconnect after she slays the archdemon and she finds out he survived. Of course by that point, she's about to marry Alistair and become Queen of Ferelden, meaning Fergus will become Teyrn of Highever after all. He walks her down the aisle at the royal wedding and there's not a dry eye in the palace. Do they ever talk about how their late father almost passed Fergus over for succession? Stay tuned...

Elissa spends a lot of Dragon Age: Awakening worrying about Fergus (who, of course, came back from the battle of Ostagar to learn that his parents, wife, and 4-year-old-son have been murdered; he doesn't realize Elissa is the Hero of Ferelden until after the blight is over, so he also thought she was killed in the siege of Highever). He has to run Highever all alone, and he's grieving, and Elissa has barely even processed HER grief, and northern Ferelden is a chaotic mess anyway, and it's just a huge clusterfuck. And Elissa has to be both the queen and the warden commander and she can't be there for him and that does a huge number on her emotionally. Which is part of what puts her in the kind of mental place where she would get with Nathaniel, honestly.

Thank you so much for the ask! I've been thinking so much about Elissa, who is honestly my most complicated and as a result most beloved OC, so it was a joy to answer. I also feel like we got robbed of a heartwrenching reunion scene, but that just means I gotta write one. Challenge accepted.

OH YEAH. Many times. That said, I've had a couple of outliers where it took some buildup and/or getting over biases, but for the most part, once my atoms get a tingle, I'm done for.

A good example of an initial outlier was Karl Heisenberg (RE8). I was kinda busy with the other mad lads thirsting over Lady D, that I didn't think much of him in the commercials or promos (to be honest, I thought he was gonna be a generic white dude with a complex…I mean, he is a white dude with a complex, but now I find it sexy, haha!), but come game time, that initial meeting with Ethan made me go:

is your Blorbo a victim of badly written script / bad plot / character assassination in the hands of canon?

YES all the time so under appreciated. I didn’t *really* like how he was written in TSATS but i’m also biased and think he can do no wrong and when he does wrong he makes it right.

also that he doesn’t get enough screen time ever.
