The Chosen Application Deadline
Since The Chosen hasn’t gotten as many applications as I would have liked, I’m pushing back the deadline to apply to October 25th, 2019. The start date will remain as November 1st, 2019.
If you’d like an extension to submit your application, feel free to ask me! I’ll be announcing who made it in on October 28th, 2019. I’ll post your character’s picture and backstory with each announcement.
BlossomWings
Roughly 500 years before The Burning, a new tribe of dragon was recognized- BlossomWings. This tribe came around due to generations of NightWings and RainWings having the same queen, and many Night/Rain marriages.
BlossomWings can have several distinct color schemes, but they’re all drawn from the NightWings scale undertones. As such, BlossomWings’ scales range from green to purple, often having wings that are on the opposite end of their color spectrum (example, a green BlossomWing having purple wings, and vice versa).
They also have prehensile tails, and some have a venomous bite, leading to a few having venom rot after The Burning. Their queen lived in the rainforest, close to the mountains, but they were also a highly nomadic tribe. It wasn’t uncommon to find a group of them camped in the desert for a few months, or on one of the SeaWings’ many islands.
Their queen at the time of The Burning was Queen Violet, who was sadly killed during the disaster.
(You can use a BlossomWing or a BlossomWing hybrid in The Chosen)
So, before applying to The Chosen, please be aware that your character CAN die, and they cannot be brought back to life.
I’ll give you a fair amount of warning, but it is permanent.
Princess Rose is one of the surviving BlossomWings. Her mother was Queen Violet, and she was set to peacefully rise to the throne within the next year.
She’s constantly nagging at The Council, demanding that she be put on it, due to the fact that she was royalty. Rose is 9, and suffering from venom rot on her mouth.
I’ve added a lot more information to the Worldbuilding/Facts post, so go check it out!
