It’s been some time since i started drawing again and with that creative spurge i started debating whether or not to pick up writing fanfics again. I never really fully stopped writing either—I simply limited myself to small blurbs instead of writing full on fanfics which ultimately affected my decision on the matter.
Low and behold I lost the debate against myself and here I am revamping my old fanfics before indulging myself into writing new ones. That decision was made because I frankly did have quite the good ideas—the writing style of those works are just too horrid to let them stay on my account like that so I'll be needing to fix those first before I can move on.
Why am I making this post you may ask? Because I want to show my writing growth and I'm a little desperate for praise💔
Here is a small dialogue blurb from the most recent update of the fic i’m talking about. Mind you this was written on the 14th of January, 2024… Yeah it’s been some time since i’ve updated that fic.
Anyways here is a dialogue blurb belonging to the revamp written on the 4th of June this year. Hell yeah! More action and better spacing. Amazing. Of course i haven't suddenly turned into Shakespeare, but i'd argue my writing has changed for the better.
I still have a long road to follow but i'm hoping to keep myself motivated through uploading updates here on my tumblr as i've seen other writers do so too :) Whilst i fix up my writing i'm also focusing on improving my drawing skills, but that's a different journey; one that i'll probably talk about later (or never, haven't decided anything yet).
