That was Yuto…hmmm what we want with Yuu he wondered? He know she shouldn’t, but Trunks decided to stay at the edge of the wall so he could eavesdrop on the conversation. And from what he heard, it seems Yuto is asking her out on a date. That sneaky son of a bitch. Quickly, he peeks from the corner to get a look at her expression…and it was drier than day-old onigiri.

But then again he also wouldn’t want her to deny it with a pleasant smile on her face. Now there’s a smile on his face when she ignores his advances as well. Trunks soo badly wants to be the one who takes her out on a date.

“Just a diaper malfunction, nothing to see here.” He spoke up as he performed the finishing touches on his new and youngest resident within his orphanage: Yumi. A little girl was brought in by a very young mother who figured this place was her best chance. Coupled with the kids the orphanage already had, it seems that ‘business’ was booming, and there’s supposed to be new staff showing up soon for interviews.

“Haven’t changed one of these since my little sister. Good thing mom and dad showed me the ropes.” And just like that he’s managed to change her without a fuss..well, minus the stain on his chest. “Since you’re here, I wanna know if you’ll be free later.” He spoke holding the little one in his arms, cradling her and rocking trying to get her to sleep. “This place is only gonna get larger, and with that we’ll need a couple of employees..you’ve known the other kids longer so it’s crucial that you get a feel for the new staff.”

“Kids huh..well no problem I’ll jus’ ditch the suit when I’m there. I do have civilian clothes ya know.” He wears them whenever he needs to hide from Harumo..the guy was extremely serious about him doing his job as the newest chairman the family has seen yet. In fact little rendezvous with her were pretty much prohibited. But if he’s going to be a demon and live a long life..then these years aren’t going to be spent in the back of a sedan all day.

“Ya said somethin’ flew into your eye? Shh..quit yer movin’.” He sounded insensitive..but he is sarayashiki’s demon after all..so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise. (even though he took her into his home). Now his finger peeled open her eyes..he’d caught the lash that had been lodged between her eyelid and eye. “There it is..” Now Yusuke inhales and blew a tuft of air against her exposed eye, dislodging the lash with ease and he’d release the lid and leaves a kiss upon it.

He pulled away, realizing what the hell he had done. Crap, this is something his mother had been doing for him for soo long that the damn habit had stuck with him. His face was flustered as he pointed his finger, the tip touching her nose. “Ya better not tell anyone that happened!!”

Money was tight this month, her part time had to cut down on her hours so she didn't have enough money to buy him something nice for his birthday. "I wish I could give you something nicer than this but..... I promise for christmas I'll get you an amazing gift to make up for it." Yuu proclaims as she holds out a hand written slip that reads '1 FREE COUPON: MAKE YUU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR A DAY'

He looked at her curiously..the first birthday they’ve ever spent together..and she’s already apologizing for not getting him anything extravagant. Hah, if only she knew the detective well enough to know that he abhors his own birthday as he associates the date with when things just didn’t work out for anyone. Atsuko was..exhibit A through Z. Whatever opportunity she’s had at making something of herself shattered the moment she found out she was pregnant with him, and from there life had been..less than spectacular..at least up until these last few months.

“Hmmm..” He utters taking the slip of paper and reads what’s written upon it. “Make ya do what I want for an entire day?? Unless yer giving me one on Christmas where this shit’s upgraded t’ a week I’m not sure if you’d ever top this.” There’s a smile on his face, loving the present.
