Here is my collaboration piece for the 2017 Simi Torch Team Collaboration : Winter Isomalt. I made a scene of Jack Frost from the animated movie ”Rise Of The Guardians" in which he is making ice animals with his staff. It's not an actual scene from the movie, but something I imagined he'd do. Everything is made of 100% isomalt and all the figures are hand sculpted. Making Jack with isomalt was a bit challenging (especially the face) but was a lot of fun! I’d like to thank Sidney Galpern for organizing this fun project. Simi Isomalt rocks❤️ The 2017 Simi Torch Team is made up of amazing sugar artists, cake decorators, and innovators working with Simi Isomalt!! This year we have over 40 artists from around the world given the theme "Winter Isomalt". This group was created to share ideas, projects, our love of sugar work ---especially with a blow torch!!
