i have a lot of thoughts on dandys world despite everything.

i love the cruelty inherent in all these characters being made in universe. sentient cartoon characters given memories of stuff that happened in the show but never physically happened to them, never being allowed to leave a certain area despite almost all being sentient adults, all made almost solely for company production reasons and marketability. being brought to life to sell a product with your face on it.... some of them having issues and weaknesses solely because of the circumstances of which they were made and how they were chosen to be.

today i am upset they changed spud regretevator's dialogue because it seemed to have removed almost every instance of him having speech difficulties and using lots of pauses in his dialogue... his new stuff feels like hes very comfortable talking and has no issues which is a bit sad since i liked that he had speech issues and frequently paused like he wasnt quite able to speak "perfectly", i feel a bit strongly about this because its very easy to look into brain damage/brain surgery effecting the way ppl speak and now hes just able to say whole sentences and stuff with no issue... if they just removed the "spud" stuff i wouldnt mind but they just removed and got rid of all his speech issues... i worry this is an "overreaction" but it is sad seeing something related to a disability just be completely rewritten off
