What technology is available for checkout at the library? Laptops, iPads, headphones & more!
Equipment for Checkout at the Library
Many SU students take advantage of the laptops that are available for checkout at the library, but did you know that we check out tons of other equipment as well?
From the circulation desk, you can checkout all of the following items:
Headphones
USB Flash Drives
SD Card Reader
Flip Camcorders
Pocket Projectors
iPads & iPad minis
Portable CD Players
Scientific Calculators
And if there's ever anything you need that we don't have, please let us know and we may be able to offer them for checkout in the future!
New iPad Models Now Available for Checkout or Reservation!
Blackwell Library has new iPad Models -- iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad 2 -- that are now available for checkout or reservation!
We have 8 iPads that can be reserved in advance. If you know you will need one for a particular time period (conferences, presentations, etc.), then you can fill out an online reservation form -- please do so at least 1 week in advance.
We also have 8 iPads that can be checked out any time from the Circulation Desk if they are available. These cannot be reserved. To check if any are currently available, stop by the Circulation Desk or call (410) 543-6130.
Get all the details here!
Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!
If you are an SU borrower, then your Gull Card works as your library card. Your library bar code is the 14 digits found on the back of your Gull Card.
Use your library bar code in many fun ways:
Borrow books from our circulating collection
Borrow a laptop/netbook or even an iPad
Borrow materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan
Renew items online through My Account
Continue your research (access databases) off campus through Research Port
Any borrower just needs to present their proper ID card to the Circulation Desk to borrow materials. Questions? Ask us.
