Blue Buffalo from Android Kikaider ep. 4
Calum Hood with Duke as his mullet
Mislabeled dog food lawsuit
I’ve come back to share this very important bit of information. While scrolling on Facebook, I saw an advertisement for a Class Action lawsuit concerning mislabeled dog food. I am a big dog food nerd, I love staying up to date on food happenings, so I clicked it assuming it was about the huge Hill’s recall.
It wasn’t.
It’s about the very foods that I’ve been feeding my highly allergenic dog for months. The one brand and flavor I fed her when I discovered her allergies, Canine Caviar Open Meadow (a limited ingredient lamb formula), was top of the list with findings of a lot of poultry, beef, pork, and fish. Elektra cannot have fish, or beef, or poultry. There was also found to be wheat despite being grain free.
Canine Caviar is only one of the many brands that have a lawsuit pending against them with this new suit. Other brands and formulas include:
• Blue Buffalo Basics Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Formula Lamb & Potato Recipe Large Breed Adult Dry Dog Food
• Canine Caviar Open Meadow Holistic Entrée for All Life Stages Limited Ingredient Diet
• FirstMate Australian Lamb Meal Formula Grain-Free Limited Ingredient Diet
• Iams Proactive Health Sensitive Skin and Stomach Grain-Free Recipe with Chicken and Peas
•Instinct by Nature’s Variety Limited Ingredient Diet Grain-Free Recipe with Real Lamb
• Merrick Grain-Free Real Lamb + Sweet Potato Recipe
• Nature's Recipe Grain Free Salmon, Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Recipe
• Taste of the Wild High Prairie Grain-Free Dry Dog Food
• Zignature Lamb Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Formula
• Zignature Pork Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Formula
As well as others! If you feed a limited ingredient diet, I urge you to check out this lawsuit to ensure your dog is being fed what you think you’re feeding. If you have proof of feeding a brand and flavor on the list and live in the USA, maybe look into signing up for the lawsuit. I have since I want justice for making Elektra suffer on that brand. She was so immensely itchy and her feet turned near black from licking her feet all the time.
Finally, even if you don’t feed any of these brands, please boost!!! I know a lot of us feed high quality foods on here because we want the best for our dogs, and raising awareness of this situation is bound to help someone.
A new investigation looks into certain popular dog foods. Some products claim to be grain-free when they contain corn, while others aren’t b
hi, i saw your reply on a post about cringing at blue buffalo commercials.. sorry if this has been asked before, i couldn't find anything when i searched your blog, but may i ask what exactly is wrong with them? they just look like regular pet food commercials to me 🤔
Hey yeah sorry, I have my blog set to unsearchable at the moment for personal reasons. Basically they promote grain-free, extremely high protein/calorie, and limited ingredient diets with no facts behind them, and don’t have nutritionally-boarded vets or PhD’s on their staff nor do they conduct research on their diets. They disparage other companies that use corn/other grains and meat byproducts even though those are perfectly viable ingredients for both cats and dogs. They have had many recalls over the years including for having unlabeled proteins in their limited ingredient diets (i.e., a lamb and sweet potato limited ingredient diet should only have lamb protein and no chicken protein but they have been found to have chicken proteins in it anyway). They are heavily implicated in the recent nutritionally-mediated DCM cases and have a strong history of causing diarrhea and bladder stones in dogs that eat their food. What is even scarier is that their “veterinary line” is not only untested/unproven, but is also over the counter, meaning that pet owners can self-diagnose things and seriously harm their pets with food that is completely nutritionally wrong, or have a diagnosis from a real vet and think they’re helping their pet when in reality they’re not.
So basically, a laundry list of reasons that veterinary professionals by and large hate Blue Buffalo.
Blue buffalo vs blue wilderness and which is the best dog food in 2020? In this blog post you will know both dog food incredents and popularity.
Blue buffalo was the brand that was getting ppls pets sick a while back right?
So today I wanted to talk to you guys about Pet Cancer Awareness month by @bluebuffalo and @petcofoundation . 5 years ago I lost my cat, Simba, to an intestinal tumor. Simba was only 8 years old. There were limited to no treatments for him, he lost half of his original body weight and was constantly throwing up. So every May I like to raise awareness and donate in the hopes of increasing treatment options for pets with cancer. In addition, a portion of all May Etsy sales will be donated to Blue Buffalo. Please consider donating at PetCancerAwareness.com
Thanks ❤️🐶🐱
I... Just saw a furry commercial.
I am so confused.
