I was here in the days of the hipster-fandom tumblr wars. I know the casualties personally: I began as a fashion/hipster blog then made a fandom side blog. When I started following so many humor/fandom blogs and realized that I couldn’t automatically reblog posts to my sideblog or my easily turn my side blog into my main blog, I made a new account. I have seen the aesthetic drug blogs and fashion/hipster blogs get pushed to the side, forced to change or assimilate, or die. I have witnessed superwholock. Watched three seasons of Supernatural, an episode of BBC’s Sherlock, and Doctor Who through Capaldi to the end of Moffat’s reign. I have suffered the unreadable design of the old dash, the Mischapocalypse, the supernatural fandom hijacking all posts with oddly appropriate gifs, the unrest caused by tumblr staff changing the shade of blue, and the godforsaken ball pit. The current tumblr’s ecosystem is fragmented and undirected; I pray that it will never again unite toward such horrifying ends. Good night
The greatest chimerical fandom is fading and dying with whimpers of a prequel that Jensen Ackles will narrate.
