If you could make your perfect team (5 or 6 members) of Blue heroes, who would it include?
Only Blue Heroes? That’s a good one and I think I have a pretty good list.
1) AoRanger from Himitsu Sentai Goranger
Akira has the chops to be a great leader BUT I wouldn’t cast him as the team leader, I would cast him as their Boss. His actor, Hiroshi Miyauchi, plays the team mentor better than almost anyone in tokusatsu having played the chief of the Rescue Police in Winspector and Solbrain as well as the military commander of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. So, I would cast him as the man behind the team who brings them together and gives them their marching orders.
2) Tenma Ranger from Gosei Sentai Dairanger
Shoji might seem a little hot headed to be the Leader but on a modern team, he would definitely bring the experience and hopefully maturity to be a good leader. He’s also incredibly skilled in martial arts and would make a fairly balanced blue leader all things considered.
3) Blue Dolphin from Choujuu Sentai Liveman
Speaking of maturity and responsibility, no blue heroine better represents those traits then Megumi Masaki a.k.a. Blue Dolphin. She was always the most level headed member of her team and a brilliant marine biologist to boot. She brings a cool intellect to the group and scientific experience they could utilize when studying their foes.
4) Gokai Blue from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger
If you are looking for pure skill with a weapon and steely determination to overcome all foes, you need look no further than the space pirate Joe Gibken. A master of dual-wielding his signature swords, he is a nightmare on the battlefield and one of the greatest swordsmen in the galaxy. He can also be a bit withdrawn and quiet, making him the brooding loner of the team.
5) Magi Blue from Mahou Sentai Magiranger
Urara Ozu bring not only a keen mind to the group as the second female member but also magic, a key skill to have when dealing with unknown enemies and strange forces. She’s not as energetic as her sister but is a quick study with new skills and very versatile. She would play well as the magical counterpoint to Megumi’s scientific acumen.
6) Ginga Blue from Seijyuu Sentai Gingaman
Gouki would be the team big guy, the brick powerhouse of the team. He’s not the brightest or the best at fighting but he’s stronger than any other single member and tough to boot. Though he represents water like Urara and Megumi, he’s more water as a destructive force than anything else.
So, there you have it, a balanced team of Blue heroes. A little heavy on the water element but you kind of expect that when your only color is blue.
