to end this off, because i know this is a lot on your dash if you're seeing all these reblogs— i am devastated. this show turned into a BYG solely by giving us a character so beautifully open & queer and obviously, i am not sitting here saying they as moralistic people deserved happiness. but this is not how you end a show; and don't go out death-threating and absolutely horribly cursing laura neal, but rather her writing. maybe i'm being immature, i don't know. i'm just so tired. their happiness came at a completely unnecessary cost; i'm so sad for jodie, and even for sandra if she wasn't totally on board— how could either of them be? i just wanna make something clear: this show has been wonderful, for me. i thoroughly believe watching it changed my perception & raised the bar for me for what to expect of queer media, and for the performances of these brilliant actresses i will forever be thankful. but past that? this series has finished at the bridge. not with eve torn apart from the very last thing she loved— turning back, with a conscious poet's choice, together at last on a boat in vill's arms. i'm so sorry to everyone going through this pain right now <3 try to think of all of your good memories within; i love y'all so much. thank you for this wild ride if you're seeing this :"]
